Not for day-to-day use. Every invoice, bill and bank allocation posts to your books automatically, starting from a pre-built chart of accounts for South African businesses - you don't need to know double-entry bookkeeping to invoice a customer or import a bank statement. For anything you'll rely on for filing or business decisions - VAT, payroll, financial statements - it's still worth having your bookkeeper or accountant review the figures, the same way we say on our VAT and payroll pages.

Only pay for what you need - see Pricing for current rates and how Payroll and Collections can be added as modules. You'll choose how to pay - card, Apple Pay, Capitec Pay, or EFT - when you get started.

No - the price shown on Pricing is excl. VAT, so 15% South African VAT is added on top, same as most business software. That's separate from the VAT EZE123 calculates for your own business - see the next question.

Head to Get Started and tell us a bit about your business. From there you can create your company straight away, or request more information first if you're not ready yet. Creating a company takes a minute, and you'll set up payment - card, Apple Pay, Capitec Pay, or EFT - right after, to activate it.

There's no minimum contract term. Cancelling isn't a self-service toggle in the app yet - get in touch via Contact Us and we'll cancel it for you. Access ends and billing stops as soon as we process the cancellation.

Yes - EZE123 calculates and prepares VAT, PAYE, UIF and SDL figures from what you post, including a VAT201-formatted VAT return. It doesn't submit anything to SARS itself, and it hasn't been reviewed by a chartered accountant or registered tax practitioner, so always confirm figures with yours before filing.

Yes. Invite your team and choose exactly what each person can see and do - module by module and report by report, down to splitting who can create a pay run from who can approve it.

Yes - Multiple Companies lets you run more than one business under a single login, each one fully separate, and switch between them any time.

Yes - Collections is included at no extra cost, built on the customers and invoices already in your books. It shows you who's overdue and by how much, worst first, lets you log promises to pay or set up a structured payment arrangement, send reminder emails with a link your customer can pay online from, and track a dispute if one comes up - so nothing falls through the cracks. Yes. Import a bank statement and EZE123 will suggest an allocation for each transaction using rules it learns from your own corrections, so allocating gets faster the more you use it.

You can bring in your trial balance (or itemised customer/supplier opening balances) through the built-in Opening Balances import once you're set up, starting from a pre-built South African chart of accounts you can adjust as needed. Customers, suppliers and products are added directly in EZE123 rather than bulk-imported. See Switching to EZE123 for the full walkthrough of moving over from another system.

Yes - set a frequency (weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually) on a recurring invoice template and EZE123 generates the next invoice for you automatically on schedule. Every generated invoice is created as a draft, never sent automatically, so you always get a chance to check it first.

Your data is stored in the cloud rather than on one PC, and you can download a full backup of your company's data at any time from within the app. See our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.

Yes - the site and the app are both designed to work on a phone or tablet browser, not just a desktop.
